Sporting views of the Front Range and a proud vantage of its namesake peak.
With over 95,000 inhabitants, it's a diverse, eclectic, multicultural community. Once a bedroom community for Boulder, it now holds its own as a self-sufficient destination city in which to live, work, experience cultural offerings, and recreate. Longmont is situated 15 miles northeast of Boulder. Thanks to its eastern setting, it has sweeping views of Colorado's Front Range and its namesake mountain, Long's Peak.
Visit downtown's historic Main Street to browse locally-owned businesses and galleries. I suggest a stop at Cheese Importers as a brunch or lunch stop with enough time to pick up gifts or a rare wedge of fromage. Play in 1500 acres of Parks and Open Space, then top the day off watching a sunset vista of Colorado's Front Range from a local brewpub's patio - there are several award winners to choose from!
Longmont homes range from New Urbanist planned modern developments to established neighborhoods overflowing with charm. Many unincorporated Boulder County properties have Longmont addresses - think horse property, rural settings, and farmettes with plenty of acreage.
